Eric Arthur Sweeney of Florence passed away at the age of 47 to an apparent heart attack.  He was born to parents Arthur and Sally Sweeney on October 9th, 1971 in Ashland, Kentucky. Mr. Sweeney graduated from South Florence High School and trained as a welder at the South Florence Vocational School and Florence-Darlington Technical College. In addition to fabrication work and running his own welding business he used his metalworking skills and creativity to produce metal artwork which he sold as well as displayed publicly at Francis Marion among others. He is survived by his parents and younger brother, Andrew Sweeney, as well as his Aunt Faye Sweeney, cousin Bryan Sweeney and Bryan's wife Kathy and their children.
