Ellen Cromer Wood, 66, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at McLeod Hospice House.  She was born in Florence, a daughter of the late Nancy Rae Long Cromer and Joseph Dawkins Cromer, Sr.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Douglas Wood, Sr.; three brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Wood loved taking care of her family and others and she enjoyed fishing and reading.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Pearline Cromer(Wood); two sons, Jerry Douglas Wood Jr. (Mantha) and Paul David Wood (Cheryl); nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; a brother, Charlton Cromer; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 16, 2019 in the chapel of Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church.
