A funeral service for Ella Mae Geddings, widow of Harvey Bristow Geddings, will be at 10:00AM, Friday, April 11, 2008, in Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. James E. Crooks officiating. Interment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6:00-8:00 at Cain Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to Bethea Baptist Home, 157 Home Ave., Darlington, SC 29532. Mrs. Geddings, 86, of Darlington, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in Bethea Baptist Home. She was born April 16, 1921, in Bishopville, SC, to the late Joseph and Mattie Mae Gardner Lewis. She was the bookkeeper for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company for over 20 years, retiring in 1988. Mrs. Geddings was a founding member and taught Sunday School for 50 years at Southside Baptist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a volunteer for United Way and the Senior Center. Surviving are: sons, Tim (Teri) Geddings of Florence and Gerald (Kris) Geddings of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Sheryl (Rick) Carter of Charlotte, NC, grandchildren, William, Weston, Matthew and Rachel Geddings, Michelle G.
