A memorial service for Elizabeth "Lib" Stewart Welch, widow of Albert S. Welch, will be at 10:00AM, Thursday October 30, 2008 in First Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. Barry Jenkins. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall. Cain Funeral Home is assisting the family. Mrs. Welch, 82, died Saturday, October 25, 2008, in Embracing Hospice House, Snellville, GA. She was born August 8, 1926, in Columbia, SC. She attended Limestone College and was a graduate of the University of South Carolina, class of 1947. She was a member Beta Omicron Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity. Mrs. Welch was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Good Samaritan Sunday School Class, a Circle member, sang in the choir and worked as church secretary for 30 years. Surviving, are: son, Albert Welch, Jr. of Atlanta; daughters, Betty (Watson) McClam of Atlanta and Wendi (John) Beattie of Hartsville; three grandchildren, Whitney and Travis McClam and Jim Beattie
