Florence, SC Elizabeth Ewing Clarke "Betty" Taylor, 90, of Florence, SC, died at her home on Sunday, June 8, 2014. She was born in Ellicott City, Maryland. Betty is predeceased by her husband, William Carter Taylor; a son, John R. "Johnny" Taylor and a granddaughter, Martha Taylor. She is survived by a son, William C. "Bill" (Suzy) Taylor of Spartanburg, SC; and a daughter, Abby (Eddie) Mills of Florence, SC; three grandchildren, Tad Taylor of Spartanburg, Barrett (Mark) Jackson and Ben (Betsy) Mills, both of Florence, SC; four great-grandchildren, Ridgely and Snowden Jackson, Jack Taylor and Campbell Mills; and a great step-grandson, Brice Fulihan. Private services will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM on Wednesday at the residence of the deceased. Cain Funeral Home is assisting the family.
