Effingham, SC Eileen Hatchell Tanner, 73, of Effingham, SC, died on Sunday, March 13, 2016, at her residence after a long illness. Born in Florence, SC, she was a daughter of the late Fulton Edward and Merlee Owens Hatchell. Eileen was the owner/operator of Unique Cake and Party Supply in Florence for over 40 years. She was a very active member of Evergreen Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and choir member. Eileen enjoyed gardening, being outdoors and traveling with her husband. She was a loving Christian mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Cecil W. Tanner; a daughter, Lynne (Danny) Yaken of Florence; son, Ken Edward Tanner and fiancée' Tina Taylor of Florence; two brothers, Rodger (Jeri) Hatchell of Florence and Ronald (Elsie) Hatchell of Effingham; grandchildren, Ryan (Meagan) Yaken, Katie (Benny) Parrott and Chad (Carly) Yaken, all of Florence; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Cain Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Evergreen Baptist Church with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, directed by Cain Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home.
