Duffea Noreen Jent, 57, of Darlington, SC, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016, at McLeod Regional Medical Center. She was born in Whitesburg, KY, a daughter of the late John Jent and Rosetta Wright Jent. She is also predeceased by the father of her children, Robert Sherrill Burroughs. She loved reading and cooking for her family and friends and was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Mervin Combs of KY; two daughters, Omelia Michelle Ritchie of KY and Karen Burroughs (Michael) Pegram of Darlington; a son, Jason Sherrill (Denise) Burroughs of KY; grandchildren, Sarah Blackmon, Aaron Burroughs, Caiden Ritchie, Emma Christmas and Lillyana Burroughs; four sisters, Sondra Rose, Mary Simmons, Debra Eastridge and Joyce Sergent; three brothers, John Jent, Jr., Frank Jent and Mark Jent; a number of nieces and nephews; and her bestest buddy, Jerry Martin. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 8, 2016, at Gospel Temple Worship Center on Highway 76, directed by Cain Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
