Douglas Wayne Cox, 79, of Timmonsville, SC, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Carolinas Hospital.  He was born in Lake View, SC, a son of the late Ed and Euthia Miller Cox and is also predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Church Cox; two brothers, Foster Cox and Roscoe Cox; and a sister, Edna Clark.

He is survived by his daughter, Diane (DeLeon) Lee of Murrells Inlet; one son, Danny Cox of Timmonsville; four grandchildren, Christopher Cox, Rebekah Powell, Kendell Cox and Lannah Cox; a sister, Kathleen McKenzie and a brother, Rudolph "Bunny" Cox.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 30, 2018, in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.  A visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.
