Dottie Calcutt Lane, 92, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Mrs. Lane was born in Pamplico, SC a daughter of the late Walter Calcutt and Rosa Bell Hyman Calcutt.  She graduated from Pamplico High School and a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church.  Dottie was the Director of Pisgah Presbyterian Daycare in Gastonia, NC, and the 5K program at Chrisitan Assembly in Florence in 1977.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Albert Lane; and her siblings, LouQueen Hyman, Toby Calcutt, Dolan Calcutt, W.D. Calcutt, Thadis Calcutt, Donnie Calcutt, Viva C. Gamble, and John B. Calcutt.

Surviving are her children, J. Albert "Al" (Stacey) Lane, Jr., Dottie Wren Lane Vulcano, Susan Lorraine Lane (David) Seabolt and Mark (Felicia) Lane; grandchildren, Brian Lane, Aleah Wolfe, Nick Vulcano, Jon Vulcano, Kristen Seabrook, Lane Seabolt, Tanner Lane, and Tucker Lane, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday, November 4, 2025 in the Calcutt-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel with the burial to follow in Florence National Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 12 PM at the funeral home just prior to the services.
