Dottie Kennedy Jones, 89, died peacefully at McLeod Hospice House on June 24, 2017. She was born in Lake City, S.C., youngest daughter of the late Doyt and Nita Wilson Kennedy. She was a graduate of Lake City High School and Coker College where she earned a degree in Mathematics. Dottie was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 65 years, Charlie O. Jones, Jr. and a sister, Margaret Kennedy Perrin. She is survived by her son, Chuck Jones (Margie) of Florence, S.C.; two step-grandchildren, Laura Bates and John Calcutt. A private ceremony will be held at Prince George Winyah Episcopal Church at a later date.
