Dorsey Joe "DJ" Cordell, 62, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his family.  He was born in Guam, a son of the late Dorothy and Oscar Cordell.  He is also predeceased by a brother, Walter Cordell.

DJ was a veteran, having served in the US Navy.  He was employed with Consolidated Electrical Distributors in Florence and was a retired firefighter from the City of Florence Fire Department.

Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Janet Cordell; sons, Tim Clark, Dave Neuzil, Matthew Neuzil; a daughter, Stacey Cordell; sister, Kim Cordell; and his mother in law, Betty Altman.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 11, 2018, in the Cain Calcutt Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the funeral home just prior to the service.
