Dorothy "Dot" Poston Hudson, 80, of Florence, died Sunday, September 23, 2012 in Darlington, SC after an extended illness. She was born November 23, 1931 in Florence County, SC to the late Liston and Doseree Calcutt Hyman. Dot was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Florence. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson - Bryan Poston; brother - Wesley Hyman; and sisters, Maggie Lee Miles and Edna Mae Dowdy. Survivors include: husband - Ernest G. "E.G." Hudson of Florence; son - Charles (Debra) Poston of Pamplico; daughter - Amy (Jerry) Hall of Belmont, NC; step-daughters - Shelia (Stoney) Cook of Blenheim and Amanda (Gregory) Anderson of Darlington; brothers - Liston "Buck" (Geneva) Hyman of Pamplico and Robert "Bobby" (Jeanette) Hyman of Florence; sister - Viola (Harry) Poston of Pamplico; grandchildren - Warren (Amanda) Poston, Joseph (Laura Beth) Hall, Allison Hall, Gary Lee Cook, Dustin "Dusty" Cook, Jessica Cook, Brittany Anderson and Christopher Anderson; great-grandchildren - Hannah Poston, Bryce Poston, Lonnie Poston, Robbie Poston, Ethan Hall, Isaac Hall, Aaron Cook, Patrick Hayes, Jonathan Cook, Dawson Munn and Noah Cook. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at First Free Will Baptist Church with visitation from 3-4 PM prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Monday 7:00 -9:00 pm at Cain Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Lee Patrick, Rev. Mike Boyce and Rev. Jeff Cockrell. Pallbearers for the service will be Ronnie Hanna, Carlton Lyerly, Cleo Lee, Carthan Yarbough, Deleon Lee and Bobby Prince.
