Dorothy "Dottie" Jones Baker, 86, a resident of The Wexford House in Denver, NC, passed away October 29, 2013 at home with family and loved ones. She was born May 24, 1927 in Marion, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Vance Baker, parents, Lewis G. and Elsie Mae Weaver Jones and step-mother, Lucille Jones. Dottie enjoyed all sports, but had a special love for golf. She loved her family but had a very special connection to her great- grandchildren, William and Ashton. She is survived by two sons, Greg Baker and his wife Patsy of Cornelius, NC; Larry Baker of Memphis, TN; one brother, Lowell Jones of California; one sister, Janis Nash of Oregon; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel directed by Cain Funeral Home.
