Dorothy Ann Denick, 57, of Effingham, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.  She was born in Los Angeles, California, a daughter of Tom Michael Rubio and the late Velda McMillan Rubio.  Dorothy was a payroll analyst and loved her job, she took great pride in her work.  Her boss, Randy Mikec, was her favorite at work.  She loved her husband, family, and most of all being MeMaw and Grandma to her grandchildren.  Dorothy was a member of the South Eastern Mustang Club in Florence.  She enjoyed remote control cars, painting and arts, photography and Monster Truck shows.  Her favorite places were the beach and the mountains with her family.

Surviving is her husband, Gary "Butch" Denick; nine children, Krisann (Roni) Rolsma, Tawnya (Lonnie) Comer, Matthew Morgan-Bailey, Chad Ryan Denick, Amy Lee Diaz, Richard Allen Denick, John Michael Denick, Craig Bailey and Justin Bailey; brother, Tommy Rubio; eleven grandchildren, Louis Vegas, Blake Comer, Serrenity Acevado, Leona Comer, Daniella Comer, Allie Comer, Gabriel Comer, Sophie Comer, Liam Bailey, Ava Bailey and Mia Bailey; one great-grandchild, Braylen Smith; many extended lines of family and friends; and her two fur-babies, Dixie and Polly.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.  Cain Calcutt Funeral Home is entrusted with cremation services.
