Florence, SC Donald "Don" Arthur Bruce, Sr., of Florence, SC, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at McLeod Hospice House. Don was born in Florence, SC, a son of Alma J. Barino Bruce and the late Jeff Willard Bruce. Don worked at La-Z-Boy Chair Company in Florence for 31 years. He was a member of South Florence Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and papa. Don is survived by his wife, Cathy Bruce; a daughter, Denise Poston;, two sons, DJ (Michelle) Bruce and David (Brandi) Bruce; three brothers, Glen Bruce, Terry Bruce and Larry Bruce; two sisters, Martha Nettles and Judy Thompson; and four grandchildren, Mackenzie Poston, David Poston, Brayden Bruce and Noah Bruce, all of Florence, SC. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 2:00 at South Florence Baptist Church, with interment to follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, March 21, 2014, at Cain Funeral Home, and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the South Florence Baptist Church Bus Fund.
