Don H. Smith, 76, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024.  He grew up in Florence, a son of the late Hoyt Vivian and Amy Wooster Smith.  Don graduated from Francis Marion University with a bachelor's degree and served his country in the Army National Guard.  He retired from the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control where he worked as District Air Quality Control Manager.  Don was a DJ who played beach music as well as music for weddings.  He enjoyed fishing and restoring British sports cars, "MGs".  Don was a hard worker who was dedicated to providing for his family.

Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Vicki McGee Smith; daughters, Kim Smith Overbay (Keith) and Kristin Smith Creveling (Rob); five grandchildren, Tyler Overbay, Katelyn Overbay, Tripp Creveling, Madison Creveling, and Kinsley Creveling; a brother, Alan Smith (Debbie); and nephew, Jason Smith (Brooke) and niece, Cecelia Smith Moore.

A graveside service, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 3:30 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Florence Memorial Gardens.  The family will speak to those in attendance following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The King's Academy.
