Pamplico, S.C. Dolph Henry "Pete" Turner, 82, of Pamplico, S.C., died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Carolinas Hospital System in Florence. He was born in Lake City, S.C., a son of the late Leo Dolph and Eulee Eaddy Turner. During his lifetime Pete held many jobs. He served his country in the Air Force. He was a carpenter and a farmer and upon his retirement he was a supervisor at JP Stevens. He loved his family and community. He wrote poetry and loved to sing to his wife. He was a Deacon at Beulah Baptist church, where he was a lifelong member and he was also a Master Mason. He is predeceased by his parents, one daughter, two brothers and one sister. Mr. Pete is survived by his wife, Peggy Capps Turner of Pamplico, S.C.; one son, Michael T. (Kathy) Turner of Pamplico, S.C.; one daughter, Della Denise (Thomas) Diedhiou of Pensacola, Florida; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. at Beulah Baptist Church directed by Cain Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 P.M. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 784 N. Pamplico Highway, Pamplico, S.C. 29583.
