Dolores Elaine Smith, 83, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House.  She was born in New Plymouth, Idaho, a daughter of the late Fred and Dorothy Day Schlots. She was predeceased by her husband, Sampson "Sam" Bauman Smith in April.

She was a charter member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir.  She was an avid reader who volunteered at the Florence County Public Library and at the Disabled Children's Home.  She was proud to be a Campfire Girl in her youth.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael (Cynthia) Smith of Aiken and David (Carol) Smith of Sardis; daughter, Pam (Steve) Moore of Florence; and four grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Allison Smith, Sara Moore and Mark Smith; and her beloved sister, Maxine.

A private Inurnment will be held at a later date at Florence National Cemetery.
