Mrs. Diane Rose Scott, 66, of McClellanville was gathered into the arms of her Lord and Savior being faithful unto death and given a crown of life (Rev 2:10) on April 11, 2010. She was born January 31, 1944 in Florence, SC, to the late Charles Lloyd and Lelia Hutchinson Rose. Diane was a graduate of McClenaghan High School in Florence, and received an Associates Degree at Fort Jackson. She worked as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant for the Department of Defense until her retirement in 2001. She then worked as a sales lady for the women's apparel shop, Affordables, in Mt. Pleasant and Pawley's Island until December 2007. Survivors include; husband, Dr. Robert W. Scott; and her two faithful four legged companions, Bailey and Beulah. Diane was warm hearted, outgoing, and empathetic to everyone she came in contact with and those individuals will attest to the fact that the world is a lesser place with her absence. Her belief in God and the promise of eternal life helped her through the physical infirmities she experienced the last few months of her life. In accordance with Diane's wishes no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, Diane requested memorials be made to Pet Helpers Adoption Center, 1447 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412. "O' death, where is thy sting? O' grave where is thy victory" (1 Cor 15:55).
