Dennis Michael Riordan, 76, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.  He was born in Kingston, PA, a son of the late James and Sophia Czarnomski Riordan.  In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Carolyn Sue Riffe Riordan and a brother, Dale Riordan (Marta).

Mr. Riordan served his country in the US Air Force.  He then went to work for the US Postal Service where he worked for more than 29 years.  After working for the Postal Service, he worked at Lowe's.  He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church while living in Florence.  He enjoyed physical activities such as lifting weights and grass cutting and had a great love for animals.

He is survived by a brother, David Riordan and his wife Janice; three sisters-in-law, Betty Goldman (Terry), Benita Long and Christina Middleton (Jerry); and a number of nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his fur-babies, Eddie and Jack.

A graveside service, followed by Entombment, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at the Mount Hope Mausoleum at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
