Deloris Ann Saint Miles, 80, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at McLeod Hospice House.  She was born in Tuscumbia, AL, a daughter of the late Lucille Boston Saint and Walter Williamson.  She is also predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Miles, a brother, James Saint and a son-in-law, Stewart Gandy.

Delores retired from Sara Lee Manufacturing, and later from Walmart.  She helped her husband teach Sunday School and did outreach ministry for nursing homes for many years.  They played and sang with the Starlight Gospel Singers.  She loved playing the piano and attended Effingham Church of God.

Surviving is a son, Walter "Wally" Miles (Erica Stroud Miles); daughter, Susan Rachelle Gandy; four grandchildren, Claudia Reign Stewart (fiancée, Chase Driggers), Summer Miles (fiancée, Vickey Raines), Dustin (Wendy) Leiss and Brittany Gandy; four great-grandchildren, Jack Leiss, Lily Driggers, Addy Driggers and Elise Gandy.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 16, 2022 in the chapel of Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Florence National Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 5 until 7:00 PM.
