Debra Jane Dean Self, 60, of Florence, SC., died Thursday, April 4, 2013 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence. She was born in Wiesbaden, Germany, a daughter of the late Orian Graden and Miriam Elise Stewart Dean. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Mark Thomas Self of Florence, SC.; two sons, Eric Walters (Suzie) of Charlotte, NC.; Matthew Self and his fiance Kimberly Caples of Florence, SC. Her passing from this life to eternity was mercifully peaceful. We will miss her, but we praise God for all of the joy she brought to everyone she knew. We as a family covet your prayers and support during this time. Debbie was not a frilly woman so we ask that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church, 2930 Master's Way, Darlington, SC. 29532, or Pee Dee Regional EMS. She has dedicated much of her life to helping others and this will allow it to continue in her memory. A memorial service will be held Monday, April 8, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Committal will follow in Florence National Cemetery directed by Cain Funeral Home.
