Deborah Ann (Sims) Wanzer, 65, of Florence, SC, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, sadly departed this life on September 23, 2025 due to a short term illness at McLeod Regional Medical Center.

Deborah, aka Debbie to her friends and family, was born to parents, Moses and Isabel Sims.  She came to Florence, SC from Brooklyn, NY to start a new life with her family/children. Debbie worked for Bruce Hospital, Country Inn and Suites, and at Starfire Grill for the past 15 years.

Debbie was known for her beautiful smile, sense of humor, and her love of music and cooking. Through the good and bad she always found the positive in it, enough to still smile and crack a joke. She will definitely be missed.

Left to cherish her memories, are her children; Maurice Sims (son), Latonya Sims and Vanessa Wanzer (daughters); Emanuel, Eric and Carnell Sims (brothers); and grandchildren, Tyler and Madison Wanzer, Tahmauri, Megan and Myesha Sims, along with several nieces and nephews, and special friends.
