Our beloved DeDe, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, November 1, 2024. DeDe was a shining light, full of love, kindness, humor who had an adventurous spirit that never stopped.  DeDe was born on November 24, 1967, in Florence, SC. the daughter of the Don A. Reynolds and late Doris Vereen Reynolds. After her education, she began a career in interior design making everyone's world a little more beautiful. She retired from Knight Furniture Showrooms after meeting the love of her life, Joseph H. Collins from Baltimore, MD. They were married at the Vereen's Memorial Gardens in Little River, SC under the Spanish Moss and Oyster Trees. The two made a new home following DeDe's dream of living on the coast. Along with coasting, her pastimes include traveling, exploring the low country, watching the sunrises and sunsets, and photography. She was always eager to "Sea's the Day" every chance she had and watching the snowbirds and tides made her the happiest. DeDe is survived by her loving husband, Joseph H. "Joe" Collins; her father, Don A. (Pat) Reynolds, Joe's children, Maddie and Nick Collins and Dr. Lindsay (Landon) Tompkins; two sisters, Donna (Roy) Lowman and Dana (Bill) McAlister; four nieces and nephews, Ashton (John) Pennstrom, Lacy Ramsey (Joey), Sullivan McAlister and Tripp McAlister; four great nieces, Anna Lee, Ella Kate, Charlotte and Meredith Pennstrom; Joe's sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Doug Dawson; and a host of loving extended family members and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Hopewell Presbyterian Church with interment to follow in Hopewell Cemetery, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the services in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 5314 Old River Road, Florence, SC 29505.
