David Eugene "Spanky" Polson, 63, of Pamplico, SC, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, in Virginia after a boating accident. He was born in Dillon County, a son of the late John Patrick Polson and Nina Hayes Polson. He is also predeceased by a daughter, Anita Lynn Polson and a brother, Curtis Patrick Polson. David graduated from Dillon High School and was formerly employed by Union Carbide/ESAB. David left this world doing the one thing he enjoyed the most, fishing. He is survived by a brother, Robert (Nancy) Polson; a sister, Linda (Earl) Harrelson; a number of nieces and nephews; and a close friend, Elsie Hooks. A graveside service, directed by Cain-Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 11 AM on Monday, May 21, 2018, at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, 2331 Harllees Bridge Road, Hamer, SC, 29547.
