There will be a private service for David Wadsworth Niver, husband of Tina Marie Niver. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Cain Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 181 E. Evans Street, BTC-009, Suite 200, Florence, SC 29506. Mr. Niver, 46, of Florence, died Monday, June 9, 2008, in a local hospital. He was born October 28, 1961, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to William W. Niver, III and Linda Lyda Niver. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, W. Niver Jr. and Joberta P. Niver and his maternal grandparents, Frank Lyda and Josie G. Lyda. Mr. Niver was a 1978 graduate of Mayo High School and attended Clemson and Francis Marion University. He was commissioned a 2nd Lt in the Army reserves and received an Honorable Discharge as a 1st Lt. He was a charter member of West Florence Baptist Church. He worked as a Construction Survey Technician with By Site Concepts of Myrtle Beach. Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife both of Florence, are: sister, Lisa (Tommy) Thomas of Hartsville, nieces Cassie and Katie Thomas; step-children, Dina Morris of Darlington, Tammy Johnson of Patrick and Wayne Polson of Florence and eight step grandchildren.
