David J. Keenan, 66, of Florence, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Carolinas Hospital System. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Raymond E. and Pauline Boone Keenan. David graduated from Robert Morris University, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha. He worked in the Hospitality Business and was an avid golfer and football fan, especially with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pitt football. He is survived by his loving wife, Marisa Zippi Keenan, two sons, Justin Keenan of San Francisco, CA and Devin Keenan of Washington, DC; a step-son, Matthew Perdue of Spartanburg; two brothers, Donald (Patti) Keenan of Fort Worth, TX and Edward (Cheryl) Keenan of Houston, TX; two brothers-in-law, David (Holley) Zippi and Pierre (Pam) Zippi; and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Zippi. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday, May 7, 2018 at the funeral home. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday in the chapel of Cain-Calcutt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org or 200 Center Point Circle, Suite 100, Columbia, SC 29210 or to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 2536 Hoffmeyer Rd, Florence, SC 29501.
