Obituary

David Kahoalewai Kaluhiokalani, Jr., 68, of Coward, SC, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018, at McLeod Regional Center. He was born in Camden, NJ, a son of the late Thelma Elias Valentino and David Kahoalewai Kaluhiokalani, Sr. David was retired from the US Army after serving 22 years, which included 2 tours in Vietnam, and recently worked as a truck driver. David loved the outdoors and lived life to it's fullest extent. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Stone Kaluhiokalani; two daughters, Angelique K. (Anthony) Jefferson and Amber Reece Williams; eight grandchildren, Ty, Ciara, Jimaya, Asia, Kai Jefferson and Catherine, Elizabeth and Silas Williams; one great grandchild, Cherish Eaddy; three sisters, Jacqueline M. Kaluhiokalani, Eva Schultz and Nancy Fulton and a brother, Joseph "Joe" M. (Tina) Kaluhiokalani; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will have an Inurnment service with full military honors in the Florence National Cemetery, 1001 Stockade Dr., Florence, SC 29506, at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 25, 2018, and will gather at Hillside FWB Church, 2405 Purvis Dr., Florence, SC 29505, immediately following the service at National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
