David Blake Hudson, 47, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017. He was born in Florence, SC, a son of Monroe "Bryant" Hudson and Brenda Fay Goss Hudson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Monroe and Margaret Hudson and Durant and Melba Goss. He is survived by his parents, Bryant and Brenda Goss Hudson; his significant other, Kelly Johnson and her sons, Drew (Manessa) Hardin and Chase Hardin; one brother, Wade (Kristy) Hudson; niece, Taylor Hudson; nephew, Trace Hudson; three aunts, Pat (Bobby) Munn, Linda (Ronald) Broach and Orthalia (Ronnie) Tucker. Blake graduated from Roy Hudgens Academy and attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Blake enjoyed the outdoors. He loved riding his horse, fishing with his granddaddy Goss at Santee, and getting up in the morning to go hunting with his brother. He took pride in watching over Taylor and Trace growing up. Blake was loved and loved all his friends. A funeral service directed by Cain Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home, will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Cain Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church Youth Fund.
