David Edward Dripps, 74, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.  He was born in Sevierville, TN, a son of the late Kenneth Harvey Dripps, Sr. and Laura Ann Driver Dripps.  He is also predeceased by a sister and her husband, Deborah Lee Dripps Creel (Kevin) and a brother-in-law, Roy Arrants.    David graduated high school in Kokomo, IN. and served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He enjoyed fishing, reading and was a Dart champion.

Surviving is his son, Andrew David Dripps (Diane); two grandchildren, Archie Dripps and Stella Dripps; and siblings, Kenneth Harvey Dripps, Jr. (Brenda), Laura Dripps Blackmon (Bubba), Judith Ann Dripps and Mary Elizabeth Dripps Arrants.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 in the Florence National Cemetery.  Cain Calcutt Funeral Home is honored to serve the Dripps family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans' Association.
