David Wayne Bailey, 83, of Florence, SC, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024.  He was the son of the late Savage and Elizabeth Winchester Bailey.  Wayne was a graduate of McClenaghan High School.  He served in the US Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis and went on to serve in the National Guard. He retired after working as an Insurance Agent.   He was an avid poker player and enjoyed finding arrowheads.  Wayne loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Wayne was the father of two children; the late Tracey Elizabeth Bailey, and Scott (Tonya) Bailey, and their mother, Arlene Wilson; three grandchildren, Conner, Sarah Beth and Matthew Bailey; two sisters, the late Crystal Dickens and Kitty Harper; and three nephews, Lee Harper (Kimberly), Brooks Harper (Sandy), and Dan Harper (Emily).

The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Samaritan's Purse or to McLeod Hospice House.
