A funeral service for Darlene Ann Matthews, wife of Leroy C. Matthews, will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday May 2, 2009, in Cain Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. William Justice. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Florence Area Humane Society, 1007 Stockade Drive, Florence, SC 29506. Mrs. Matthews, 66, died April 28, 2009, in a local hospital. She was born, March 20, 1923 in Waterbury, CT, to Mr. and Mrs. Carcasio. She was a loving wife and mother. Surviving, in addition to, her husband, are: daughters, Laura Matthews of Florence and Jeanne Basile and Christine Juraska both of Wolcott, CT; sons, Tony Juraska of Wolcott Ct and C. J. Baggett of Florence; step-daughters, Linda Kelly of Lantana, FL and Patricia Naya of Pembroke Pines, FL; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
