A Celebration of Life for Tech Sergeant Daniel Harvey Bailey, Jr., 33, of Lugoff, SC, will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Florence, SC. The family will receive friends following the service at The Smith's home, 1816 Malden Drive, Florence, SC. A private inurnment, directed by Cain-Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home, will be held in Florence National Cemetery prior to the service. Daniel died Sunday, November 1, 2015. Born in Key West, Florida, he was the son of Daniel Harvey Bailey, Sr. and the late Pamela Dee Bass. Daniel was a graduate of Francis Marion University and served in the United States Army National Guard and the United States Air National Guard. He served his country in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Kosovo Force 5A in March 2004 and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan from June 2012 until September 2012. Daniel is survived by his wife, Meredith Smith Bailey; two daughters, Adalynn Emma Bailey and Harper Kate Bailey. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ralph Harvey Bailey and Mary Sims Bailey.
