Cynthia McElveen, 61, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at her residence.  She was born in Lake View, SC, a daughter of the late Margaret Myers Harrell.  She is also predeceased by a sister, Marlene Evans.

Surviving is her husband, Michael McElveen; two sons, Travis McElveen and Brandon McElveen and his wife Keisha McElveen; her grandson, who was the love of her life, Clyde McElveen; three brothers, Sammie Myers, Wayne Nettles and Ronnie Nettles; four sisters, Lisa McKenzie, Stacie Poston, Dana Harrell and Farrah Jones; and numerous other family members.  Cynthia also acted as a second mom to many other children.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, November 5, 2021 in the Chapel of Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  The family will speak to friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the NICU at McLeod Regional Medical Center.
