Cynthia Darlene "Cindy" Merchand, 60, of Blythewood, SC, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.  She was born in Timmonsville, SC, a daughter of Irene Britt Kirby Martin and the late Robert W. "Bob" Kirby, Sr.  Cindy worked for many years in various office manager positions with Midas/Meineke shops.  She worked as a substitute teacher at Ridgeview High School while her children were in school.  Cindy loved Facebook games but her greatest joy in life was being Mom to her children and Mimi to her grandchildren.  She never met a stranger and enjoyed people.

Surviving is her husband, Gerald "Jerry" Lee Merchand; her mother, Irene Martin and her step-father, Bo Martin; a son, Robert Merchand (Logan); a daughter, Kristian Merchand; three grandchildren, Nolan, Declan and Lincoln; two sisters, Debbie Kirby Pegram and Julie Kirby Driggers; a brother, Robert "Wayne" Kirby, Jr.; and a number of loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Peace Free Will Baptist Church with a private Interment to be held at Mount Hope Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the service.
