A funeral service for Claude Jasper Spring, 76, will be 11:00 Friday July 9, 2010 in Cain Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Daniel Inabinet, Rev. Glenn Carter, and Deacon Jim Johnson . Interment will be in Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM Thursday July 8 at Cain Funeral Home at other times at the residence, 2316 E. Manning Street, Florence, SC 29505. Memorials may be made to McLeod hospice House, PO Box 100551, Florence, SC 29502-0551 Mr. Spring, 76, died July 6, 2010, in McLeod Hospice House after a long illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Ovelia Hendrix Spring and by his loving wife and soul mate, Janet Spring of 51 years, who he missed terribly and is now with her forever and his brother, Lionel Spring and sister, Annie Lou Springs. Mr. Spring was a member of First Baptist Church, although he was not able to attend due to his illness. He was a Korean War Veteran, and retired from City of Florence Public Works Department as a Street Supervisor in 1984. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Surviving are daughters, Shannon (Dennis) Januesheske, and Tamie S. Carroll of Florence, SC; grandchildren, Seth A. Tyndall, Adrienne P. Carroll, and Chandler L. Savage; brothers, Rudy Springs and Ted Springs of Florence, SC, and Billy Springs of Montana; sister, Amanda Carraway of Coward, SC; sister-in-law, Polly Springs of California; his extended family members, Edwin and Nancy Dill; his dear friend, Beth Russell; and many nieces and nephews. The family wants to thank McLeod Hospice House, Doctors and Staff for the excellent care that you gave to our daddy, he loved you all very much as part of our family.
