Christopher "Chris" Ward Avin, 53, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021.  He was born in Florence, a son of the late Charles Aubrey and Carol Jean Jenkins Avin.  Chris was a connoisseur of fine beverages and loved being around people and having fun and never met a stranger.  He loved fishing, cooking, decorating his home for the holidays and spending time with his family.   Chris was a Green Bay Packers and a die-hard Clemson Tigers fan.

Chris is survived by his wife, Tracy Bonner Avin; son, Stephen Avin; five siblings, Kent Gray (Kathleen), Cindie Gray (Jackie Dawkins), Carol Carleson (Bill), David Avin (Theresa), and Marty Avin (Becky; thirteen nieces and nephews and fourteen great nieces and nephews; a special buddy, Cole Tickle; and a number of special cousins.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, August 20, 2021, at the funeral home.  Cremation services are entrusted to Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cain Calcutt Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
