Christopher "Cory" Guilford, 36, passed away on Friday March 29 at McLeod Hospital. He was the son of Linda Hewitt Guilford and the late Perry Guilford. He was preceded in death by his father-George "Perry" Guilford; his grandparents, Pauline and Haynie Hewitt and Frieda and Lucky Guilford; and by an Aunt, Janet Hewitt. Corey graduated from Florence Christian School and attended Florence Darlington Tech. He was employed at Schofield Hardware and was a member of New Spring Church. He is survived by 5 children; Gavin, Gracyn and Averie Guilford and step-daughters Hailey and Kaitlyn Hayes; his mother, Linda Hewitt Guilford; a sister Amanda Guilford of Florence and a brother, Perry (Chantelle) Guilford Jr. of Tennessee; and his nieces and nephews; Ashley Barker, Tyler and Taylor Guilford of Florence and Ray, Kimmy, and Nick Guilford of TN. The family will host a Celebration of Life service from 6-8 PM on Monday, April 9, 2018, at New Spring Church. The family would like to thank all of the nurses in CCU at McLeod for all the compassion shown to his family during his stay.
