Charlotte Marie Olson Matthews, 79, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.  She was born in Sharon, North Dakota, a daughter of the late Grant and Mildred Larson Olson.  She is also predeceased by her husband, Harry Matthews and a daughter, Cindy Corder.  Charlotte was retired from Chase and was a fan of NASCAR and football.

Surviving is her daughter, Lynette Church (Doug); six grandchildren, Jordan Matthews (Nancy), Matthew Corder (Heather), Haley Lambert (Dylan), Elizabeth Taylor, Lee Taylor and Kelly Church (Beca); eight great-grandchildren; sister, Viola Parnell (Charles); brother, Leo Olson; niece, Tonya Delinger; and a nephew, Danny King.

A private graveside service was held in the Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.
