Charles Allan Herndon, Sr., 79, of Florence, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019.  Mr. Herndon was born in Bennettsville, SC, a son of the late Ottie "Bud" and Geneva Herndon Herndon.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force and a member of Central UMC.  He is preceded in addition to his parents by his wife, Amanda Alice Osteen Herndon and a brother, Richard Herndon.

Surviving are; two sons, Allan (Beckie) Herndon of Florence and Ed (Jea) Herndon of Roanoke, VA; a grandson, Matthew Herndon of Fayetteville, NC; a brother, David (Patsy) Herndon of Bennettsville; a sister, Carol Herndon Crouse of Bennettsville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A private Inurnment will take place at the Central UMC Columbarium.
