A graveside service for Charles Edward Galloway, husband of Mildred Oliver Galloway will be at 11:00AM Monday August 17, 2009, in Florence Memorial Gardens conducted by rev. Greg Black. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM tonight at Cain Funeral Home. Mr. Galloway, 84, died Friday August 14, 2009, at his residence. He was born, October 19, 1924 in Lamar, to the late Charlie and Thelma Hill Galloway. Mr. Galloway was an electrician in the maintenance department of GE, retiring in 1985. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. He is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and Mecca Lodge AF & AM. Surviving, in addition to his wife of 63 years, are: son, Charles E. Galloway Jr. of Florence; daughter, Marilyn G Hobson of Florence and grandchildren, Brian (Kerrie) Hobson and Natalie (Tony) Young.
