Obituary

Dick Kysar Charles R. "Dick" Kysar passed away unexpectedly September 25. Dick was well-loved by family, friends and co-workers, and loved them back until his heart gave out. Dick was raised in Bedford, IA, and Hopkins, MO. As a man of many talents, he joined the Army, obtained his Master's in Education, taught industrial arts and served as principal, in addition to working as a warehouse inspector for the USDA until retirement, after which he enjoyed meeting people as a driver for Enterprise Rent-A-Car when he wasn't relaxing and entertaining friends on his back porch in Florence. The middle of 3 sons, Dick was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Jim. He is survived by his brother, Bud (Al), and two daughters: Holly Turley of Gig Harbor, WA, with children Wesley Michener, Pamela Loek and Bryce Turley, and Kathy Kysar of Regent, ND, with daughters April and Sarah D'Water. He also had two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Abigail Loek, and a number of nieces and nephews who were very special to him. Memorials may be made to the Masonic Lodge, Xenia Lodge #50 in Hopkins, MO. Private burial will be in Hopkins, MO, with the involvement of the local Masonic Lodge.
