Ms. Charity Marie Powell, 37, of Florence, died June 30, 2011, in Florence, SC. She was born February 19, 1974 in Darlington, SC. Ms. Powell was a graduate of West Florence High School, and graduated college with a degree in Radiology. She had received the McLeod Regional Medical Center Staff Award, and the Joseph G. Sylvester, MD Award in 1997. Charity was a member of the South Carolina Society of Radiologic Technologists, The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and Phi Theta Kappa. Survivors include: father - Earl Powell; mother - Myrtle Alma Powell; son - Christian Warren Powell; special friend - Dwight Milliken ; aunt - Ginger N. Cobb; several other aunts and uncles; and several cousins. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, July 4, 2011, at Cain Funeral Home.
