Catherine Broach Bass, 85, of Darlington, S.C., died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at McLeod Hospice House. She was born in Effingham, S.C., daughter of the late Simpere and Cleo McLeod Broach. Mrs. Bass retired from Turner Manufacturing. She was a charter member of Christian Assembly Church. She is survived by two granddaughters, Leigh Bass Rogers and her husband Chuck of Florence, S.C.; Rachel Bass Windham and her husband Gregg of Florence, S.C.; five great-grandchildren, Evanne Rogers, Gracen Rogers, Walker Rogers, Kamryn Windham and Morgan Windham, all of Florence, S.C. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 6-8:00 P.M. at Cain Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Christian Assembly Church in Florence. Interment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
