Casey Melinda Hardee, 46, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer and it’s complications. She affectionately became known as “Rocky” to her family because she was such a fighter.
Casey was born in Florence, SC a daughter of Kelly Eugene (Vicki) Hardee and Karen Coleman (Wyndall) Strickland. She was a General Manager for Five Guys in Myrtle Beach. She loved the beach, cruises, cooking, and shopping. Most of all she loved her family, especially her children and her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Skylar Chapman; daughter, Shyanne Hardee; siblings, twin sister Nikki (Jon) Hardee, Chase (Christy) Hardee, Ashley (Justin) Hudson; and Angel (Max) Dooley; nieces and nephews, Cailynn, Leah, Patrick, Megan, Aubree, Ayden, and William; along with special uncle and aunts, Billy, Julie, and Rhonda.
Memorials may be made to Calcutt-Dowling Funeral Home to assist the family.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday, July 24, 2026 at the residence of Justin and Ashley Hudson and from 10:00 – 11:00 am Saturday prior to the services at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 25, 2026 in the Calcutt-Dowling Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
