Florence, S.C. Carolyn Matthews Terry, 72, of Florence, S.C., died Friday, January 23, 2015 at McLeod Hospice House after an illness. She was born in Hamlet, N.C., daughter of the late Willie Louis and Lucy Epps Matthews. Carolyn is predeceased by her parents and her husband, Jack Terry who passed away in 2010. She was a graduate of Appalachian State where she earned her Master's Degree. She was a member of Mizpah Baptist Church since 1977. She is survived by four children, Pam Gillam(Jimmy) of Florence, S.C.; Cathy Haselden (Glenn) of Florence, S.C.; Greg Terry (Michelle) of Lake City, S.C.; Matthew Terry (Charlotte) of Florence, S.C.; five grandchildren, Heather Heger (Tony), Tiffany Johnson (Chris), Brittany Terry, Heath Haselden and Madeline Terry; two great-grandchildren, Dylan Heger and Dawson Johnson. The family will receive friends Monday, January 26, 2015 from 6-8:00 P.M. at Cain Funeral Home and other times at the home of Matthew Terry, 535 N. Firetower Road, Florence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Mizpah Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Thompson Cemetery directed by Cain Funeral Home.
