Carolyn Sue Riffe Riordan, 76, of Florence, SC, formerly of Reisterstown and Ellicott City, MD, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023. She was born in Charleston, WV, the daughter of the late Benjamin Carson Riffe and Mary Helen Norris Riffe.

Carolyn was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and worked with the US Postal Service. Later, she also worked with the Girl Scout organization, and was an avid reader and loved animals.

Surviving is her husband, Dennis Michael Riordan; three sisters, Betty Goldman (Terry), Benita Long, and Christina Middleton (Jerry); nieces and nephews, Sam Goldman, William Harmon, Melissa Harmon, Renae Harmon, Carson Edwards, Tyler Middleton and Taylor Middleton; and her fur babies, Eddie and Jack.

A graveside service, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2024, in the Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel. The family will greet those in attendance following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
