Carolyn Linnette Daniel, 90, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Carolyn was born on August 7, 1925, in Coward, SC, to the late Talmadge S. and Annie Gause Baker, Sr. She lived and traveled all over the United States as her husband, Major Cecil F. "Dan" Daniel, was stationed in different locations with the US Air Force. Carolyn was a wonderful homemaker, mother and friend. Her vibrancy and quick wit lasted until the end. Carolyn was an avid bowler and made the best macaroni and cheese. In addition to her parents and her husband, Dan, she is predeceased by her daughter, Ginger D. Bosman; sisters, Doris Frick and Athena Baker, and her brother, Archie (Sonny) Baker. She is survived by her brother, Talmadge (Sara) Baker of Asheboro, NC; sister-in-law, Sandra Baker of Savannah, GA; nieces, Heather (Hughes) Page, Katherine (John) Baxter, Margaret (David) Bradsher, Cindy (Scott) Penholster, Margie (Ronald) Canady; nephews, Kevin (Teresa) Baker, John (Pat) Frick, Barry (Marie) Frick, Gary (Dutchen) Baker, Terry (Shawn) Baker and several great-nieces and great nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Cain Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Home, 2350 W. Lucas Street, Florence, SC 29501 or to McLeod Hospice House, 1203 E. Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29506.
