Carole Lynn Prince, 79, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024 at her residence. Carole was born in Preston County, WV. She was the daughter of the late Vance and Martha McDaniel. Carole and her husband, Leonard, also from Preston County, moved to Washington, DC, then later moved to Maryland where they lived until 2005. She worked as a secretary for the federal government for 20 years, then retired as a homemaker. When her husband retired, they moved to Florence, SC to be close to their daughter, Shayna and her husband Jim. She loved shopping, cooking and attended Palmetto Street Church of God for many years after moving to Florence. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by a brother, Gary McDaniel.

Surviving Carole are her loving husband of almost 60 years, Leonard C. Prince; two daughters, Annette (Rick) Murphy and Shayna (James) Wallace; a grandson, Jack Murphy; a step-grandson, Jamie Wallace; a brother, Harold (Kathryn) McDaniel; a sister-in-law, Suzann McDaniel and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home on Saturday, June 8th at 10:00 am. Cain Calcutt Funeral Home is honored to serve the Prince Family.
