Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend.
Carol passed away December 19, 2023 after a long battle with Dementia/Alzheimer's.
Born October 13, 1937 to Chester Arthur Megill and Dorothy Margurite Marks (King). She had 5 brothers Dan, Tommy, Mark, Mike, and Brian and 2 sisters. She was the loving mother to Eugene Leckliter, Mike Leckliter (Kemah), and Carol Ann Hodges (Fred Sr.). Her pride and joy were her grandchildren Kelly Fox (Aaron), Brandi Hogan (Lee), Fred Hodges Jr (Danielle), and Samantha Hodges. And great-grandchildren Carter Fox, Avery Fox, Alyssa Hogan, Gavin Hogan, and Devin Franklin. She worked for many years with Prince George's county schools running school cafeterias. She spent her life taking care of, entertaining, and cooking meals for the people she loved. Her signatures were pot roast and fudge . She loved warm weather, and the beach was her happy place from Chincoteague, MD to Florida. You could find her searching for shells and sharks teeth. She loved chocolate, sweets, and of course handsome fellas. She had a big heart for animals, especially dogs. Taffy, Missy, and Daisy were her faithful companions for many years. Her best friends were Ilene and Buddy Brown. But more than friends, all of the Browns were family to her. They spent many holidays and vacations together making a life time of memories.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Tommy, Dan, Mike, and Brian, Son Gene, Daughter Carol Ann, Son in Law Fred Hodges.
She will be buried at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD next to her mother and brother. Services will be in the Spring, date to be announced.
